Student of the Year
The award of student of the Year was first presented in 1982. Since then it has become the most prestigious award that we have, to honour the achievement of the one departing Leaving Certificate students.
The award is made to the student who, in the eyes of the staff, has made the most significant to the life of the college during his student years. The award is not purely for academic excellence or sporting prowess or good behaviour, though these factors do of course feature in coming to a decision. Suffice it to say, that when the name of the student of the year is announced, it is always met with general acclaim by the staff and students. |
